Reflection of ENC 2135

When I first got placed into ENC 2135 I was not looking forward to the course at all. At the start it just seemed like the class would not work out for me. 8 AM class Monday-Thursday, in which the goal is to complete 3 big projects within a few short weeks. I was intimidated, nervous, and definitely not excited to see how these few weeks were going to turn out. I had taken plenty of extensive writing courses when I was in highschool so I was not looking for another one. However, ENC 2135 wasn’t as bad as I though. Thanks to my professor Mat Wenzel I was motivated enough to wake up first thing in the morning everyday and attend his class. Not only that, but Mat managed to take a subject that I never found interest in, and converting it to a course that I really enjoyed and became familiar with. Not only was Mat hilarious making the class that much more amusing, but he was also able to get the whole class to interact and get involved throughout the semester. This course was able to integrate projects required to complete the course, with research and information that can very well benefit the students of the course in the future. Through a series of presentations and essays Mat was able to prepare all of us and give us new skills needed in order to write an effective paper. This course was able to bring multiple factors into one subject, for example I didn’t only learn skills on writing and language, throughout the duration of this course I learned how to create a website and I even figured out what I am looking to do in the future. All of this was gained through the lectures and projects that Mat gave to us. Thanks to the advise and lectures, the three projects were a breeze, and Mat was always there for extra help if needed. We were offered a variety of sources for tutoring such as the RWC tutors, and even simply going to Mat’s office hours for extra help and information. Because of this course I now have useful knowledge information that can benefit me inside and outside of school. Overall ENC 2135 was an amazing experience, and I’d like to owe it to my professor Mat.
